544 Education Foundation Funds 29 Grants for the 2025-2026 School Year

The Fergus Falls 544 Education Foundation awarded almost $60,000 in grants to the Fergus Falls School District at its October 9th board meeting. The grants awarded are as follows:
$156 for hot packs for the Kennedy Secondary School Health Office
$160.49 for a heat press for the Special Education Work-Based Learning and Transitions Program
$200 for notebooks for the Otter Closet
$306.14 for comfort seating options for elementary sensory rooms
$315.89 for vertical surface skills areas at McKinley and Cleveland
$360 for practice pads and drumstick covers for the 6th grade General Music Class
$400 for incentives for the Self-Contained Behavior Classroom
$466.90 for a 3D fiber art project connecting 1st and 7th graders
$535 for adapted switches for the Special Education and Speech Departments
$539.85 for adapted switch tools for the Special Education and Speech Departments
$600 for a 3D printer for the Middle School Band Program
$669.38 for a goggle sanitizer cabinet for the Science Department
$820.82 for a light box for the Lincoln Learning Lab
$853.75 for gallery frames for the Kennedy Secondary School Art Department
$899 for a MacBook Air for the Music Department
$900 for supplies to build six picnic tables at Kennedy Secondary School
$995 for “Shoebox Tasks” for the Occupational Therapy Department
$1,061.60 for a mobile sensory play station and an early childhood mental health curriculum
$1,600 for rain suits for the 5th grade Prairie Science Classes
$1,628.45 for a popcorn machine at Lincoln School
$2,500 for cross-country ski boots for the 4th grade Prairie Science Classes
$2,700 for two screen mirroring devices for the Family and Consumer Sciences Department
$2,770 for luggage tags and tour shirts for the Music Department’s trip to New York City
$3,622 for the 6th grade field trip to the Capitol Building, Science Museum of Minnesota and Minnesota History Center
$4,910 for two indoor basketball hoops in the McKinley gymnasium
$5,000 for soft and flexible seating for the Kennedy Secondary School Media Center
$5,303.36 for 9 robots for the robotics class at Roosevelt Education Center
$9,000 for 15 HP ProBook laptops for college-level math classes
$10,432 for three Promethean Boards for the Special Education and Speech Departments
Grand Total – $59,705.63
